In order to raise quality, well nurtured pups, you must have healthy, happy moms. We currently have four females at Creamlevel Creek. Each female is worked on a daily basis to make sure their retrieving skills stay sharp but it's mainly done because they and I love to do it.

As each mom gets closer to her delivery date, she is switched from working with me to working with my wife, Carol. Some slow paced walks and swimming are on the agenda for the next few days 'til the puppies are born. This same regimen is repeated for a week after the puppies are born to control mom's stress level and to keep a better attitude with the puppies.

Going on hunting trips is rotated between the females to keep their hunting skills keen and ready to pass on to the pups. Besides I couldn't stand it if one thought I loved one more than the other.

With this lifestyle, they stay in excellent physical condition and get lots of personal attention. AKC, OFA and CERF registration numbers are included with the pedigre
